We’re happy to be returning with our fun and educational programs in the Spring 2020 Term! Program information is below.

Please register using the “Register” button which will appear below once the registration period begins.

An automatic registration confirmation will be emailed to you after you register. An update with program information will be emailed to you after registrations close and immediately before the programs begin.

During your online registration you will have the option to make your program payment with a credit card (Visa, MasterCard, Amex) or via your PayPal account or via Interac e-transfer. Please note that program fees are listed on our registration site and HST is charged.

Registrations will close before the program start date OR when the program is full. Click on the “Register” button to avoid disappointment!

Babysitting Certificate

Grade 6

Are you ready to take on the responsibility of becoming a babysitter? Students of this course must be at least 12 years old or turning 12 within the calendar year. The program enables the students to demonstrate their capabilities and maturity by completing the course under the responsible direction of the instructor. Students must attend all sessions and establish a passing grade of 75 per cent on the final examination in order to receive their certificate.

Course content includes:

  • Becoming a successful babysitter
  • Caring for children from three months to school-aged
  • The behaviour and misbehaviour of children
  • Handling Emergencies
  • Caring for a sick or injured child
  • Prevention and basic First Aid

Discovery Lab STEAM Science

Grade 1 – 6

Expand your scientific mind and discover how the world works in your very own discovery lab! By participating in fun, hands-on activities and experiments, students will develop their understanding of how science applies to the world around us. From ecosystem interactions to weather, or the kinetic differences between solids, liquids and gases, Discovery Lab has something for everyone!

Jr French Club

Grade 1 – 3

Bonjour, mes amies! It’s time you joined us in Jr. French and explored the possibilities that abound in learning the French language! Through games, songs, art, and activities, students will learn new vocabulary and develop basic French conversation skills. Together we’ll explore not only the language, but the culture of France. Come join the conversation- we can’t wait to hear what you have to say!

Stuffed Minis & Plush Emojis

Grade 1 – 4

Imagine if all your stuffed animal friends had a “mini” to keep them company? In Stuffed Minis & Plush Emojis, we will learn to sew while creating miniature versions of our favourite stuffed animals and we’ll bring our favorite Emojis to life by crafting them info plush characters! This fun, hands on program allows students to complete projects quickly while also developing on basic sewing and crafting skills. Throughout the program, we will create brand-new, one-of-a-kind, miniature stuffies to hang on our backpacks, adorn our lunch bags and cuddle with our stuffed animal family! What new miniature characters will you take home?

Table Top Games

Grade 1 – 4

Join us in this program to explore your strategic side and develop your skills in some of the most popular games of all time. Together, we’ll learn how to play some of the classic games of strategy like Chess, Risk, Monopoly, Checkers, Card Games and more. Students will learn strategies and tactics while gaining the confidence to play against any opponent, and will come away with a new appreciation and respect for some of the most wonderful games ever invented.

Note to Parents: While this program is suitable to those with little to no experience, older children with some experience will also be challenged with more advanced strategy and gamesmanship. Board games are rich in learning opportunities and great for developing social skills.

Top Secret Recipes

Grade 1 – 4

Do you ever wish you knew the secret to making your take-out favourites at home? Now’s your chance! In Top Secret Recipes, students will explore classic recipes, discovering which ingredients make those patented flavour combinations that they know and love. Students will develop basic kitchen skills while working together and exploring the world of food and cooking. Get ready to amaze your friends with these top secret recipes at home but -shhh!- remember, it’s a secret! (All recipes are made from scratch in class and therefore reflect a healthier version than their fast food counterparts- and they’re yummier too!)
