Online Holiday Programming


Hello Explorers!

We’re excited to be offering Online Programming and Workshops for the Holiday Season!

Participants will receive live instruction from our experienced Instructors and limited class sizes will allow students to meet new people and build friendships! We have a variety of programs and workshops to choose from for all ages and levels with new options being added weekly.

December 28 – January 3

Tuesday December 29:

Crafty Club : Pom-Pom Party with Rebecca

10:00 – 11:00am  •  Grades 3 – 6  •  $18.50

Make your favourite winter toque truly unique by creating your very own custom pom-pom to put on the top! Using a simple cardboard template and some yarn participants will learn how to create a puffy pom-pom perfect for personalizing their winter wear.

Wednesday December 30:

Digital Art : Digital Landscapes with Aaron

12:00 – 1:00pm  •  Grades 2 – 6  •  $18.50

This is another workshop for anyone who loves world building, fantasy and drawing. In this workshop we will be creating simple layered landscapes to design new worlds. 

Note : For this program, participants will need to download and install the free program Autodesk Sketchbook. https://sketchbook.com/ either on the same device or on a separate device.

Creative Drawing : Draw A Perspective Snowman! with Mirka

3:00 – 4:00pm  •  Grades 1 – 5  •  $18.50

In this session, participants will learn how to draw a snowman from two different angles. Materials needed: A piece of paper, a ruler, a black pen or marker, and colouring supplies. Recommended materials: wax crayons, coloured pencils, or chalk pastels.

Sunday January 3:

Family Baking Club : Kitchen Sink Cookies with Liz

2:00 – 3:00pm  •  For the Family – Adult and Child Participation!  •  $18.50

Everyone should know how to make a really great cookie – and Kitchen Sink Cookies are like ALL the cookies coming together for one magical cookie party. Join us in this delicious workshop, and learn to make Kitchen Sink Cookies!

Note: This workshop will be vegan and nut-sensitivity friendly. This program is geared to older bakers who can use the microwave oven alone AND for young bakers with an adult present to help — the whole family is welcome. One registration per screen please!

January 4 – January 10

Wednesday January 6:

Digital Art : Digital Photo Art with Aaron

4:00 – 5:00pm  •  Grades 2 – 6  •  $18.50

This is a workshop for anyone interested in drawing and editing digital photographs. In this workshop we will be using our own photos or finding images from the internet. We will then use those images to add our own illustrations. So if you would like to draw creatures in a landscape, illustrate clothes on a family pet or turn an old tree into a lurking monster. Then join me to combine the surreal with reality and create amazing works of art.
