Join the Explore It! team for the Musical Theatre Programme and become a theatrical success!

From scripts and music to costumes, sets and more, our goal is to give young performers a truly professional experience. In this program, both personal development for each student and a polished performance for the group are emphasized. Participants will rehearse with our talented crew and – for this term, due to COVID safety protocols – we will finish with a professionally recorded and edited video recording and, once the videos are compiled, we’ll host a live, online streaming party for all! We’re excited to bring this unique opportunity to the BSS community, and look forward to digging into the techniques of performing to a camera as well as some of the more technical aspects of theatre and film creation in this project.

Note that each grade will rehearse and be recorded separately to maintain COVID protocols, and we’ll bring the group together through the magic of editing once the term concludes.

For the Fall 2021 Season, we will be digging into a revue style program for all grades, featuring incredible songs from amazing musicals. The revue structure allows us to tailor the program to the needs and wants of the participants – supporting young performers with group work and solos, big, belting group numbers and smooth dance pieces – we can do it all! We can’t wait to Return to Broadway with you BSS – because “there’s nothing as amazing as a musical!”
