“Rebels, Royals & Revolutionaries”

Hello Grade 4 to 6 Performers!

We are SO looking forward to diving into the magic of musical theatre with you in Rebels, Royals & Revolutionaries!

This page will be your main resource outside of rehearsals for the term.

Please let us know if you have questions or if we can support you in any way. We are here to help!

See you soon!

Please visit the following links to learn more about our creative process, how we structure our program and how we’re working with BSS to provide the best program possible for your child.

Casting:

Note that casting is completed as a team, with the support of the school. We have seen over many years that the way to best support all participants as they mature (developing both skills and confidence as young performers) is to cast primarily by grade. Grade 4 participants start in the larger ensemble, are moved into small-group and small-feature roles in grade 5 and then into larger, more principal roles in grade 6.

  • Grade 6s will be cast in Primary Roles, and/or multi-cast in large-track Ensemble Roles in some cases.
  • Grade 5s will be cast in the Mid-Sized Roles as well as the Company Ensemble, with a high degree of responsibility and team leadership, and with several “feature opportunities” in the show.
  • Grade 4s will be cast in the Company Ensemble, playing multiple roles throughout the show.
    • Note that grade 4 performers may not have a solo assigned in the script. Solos may be assigned to grade 4 ensemble members during the rehearsal process.

Hello Performers!

We are SO excited to dive into the magic of musical theatre with you in Rebels, Royals and Revolutionaries, this term!

This page will be our go-to resource for the project. You will find here:

  • The complete script or lyric book, with all lyrics to every song.
  • Vocal and backing tracks for each song are embedded into this page below along with the song lyrics to make for easy rehearsing. We ask that all performers listen to the vocal tracks at least once per week. Singing along while doing chores, riding in the car or hanging out with friends is an excellent and easy way to practice and learn!
  • As we learn choreography, we will add break-down and practice videos for performers to rehearse with – the more we dance, the better we’ll perform – practice really does make progress!

Please let us know if you have questions or if we can support you in any way. We are here and ready to help!

See you in rehearsal!

Liz & Maggie

Performers! It is very important that you take some time each week to practice at home. As a guide, we recommend the following:

  • Grade 4s should be rehearsing for approximately 75 minutes per week between sessions.
  • Grade 5s should be rehearsing for approximately 90 minutes per week between sessions.
  • Grade 6s should be rehearsing for approximately 120 minutes per week between sessions.

Next, listen to all the music and get to know the story and the characters – especially your own!

In rehearsals, we will begin by working on the songs together – lyrics and choreo – and then build on with character work, blocking and more. If you’re looking to take on more responsibility in this production – show us by learning your part ‘inside and out’ and by showing up to each rehearsal with a positive attitude. There’s always room for performers to take on more and we love to find that special moment for each person to shine on stage!

And You Don’t Even Know It
Everybody’s Talking About Jamie

REBELS — Jamie refuses to be limited by other people’s expectations of who he should be. This song celebrates being unapologetically yourself, dreaming bigger, and choosing your own path — even when that challenges the rules around you.

JAMIE:
There’s a clock on the wall
and it’s moving too slow.
It’s got hours to kill
and a lifetime to go.
And I’m holding my breath
’til they say I can go
Then I’m coming out hard
and I’m stealing the show.
I’m a superstar and
you don’t even know it.
Got my lucky star and you
don’t even know it.
You’re so blah blah and
you don’t even know it.
I’m like, au revoir and
you don’t even know it.

GR 6s/(GR 4-5s):
There’s a path I’ve planned
(And you don’t even know it)
To the promised land
(And you don’t even know it)
You won’t understand
(And you don’t even know it)
Cos you’re my backing band
(And you don’t even know it)
And it’s the Jamie show
(And you don’t even know it)
Cos you’re meh, so-so
(And you don’t even know it)
And are sorta slow
(And you don’t even know it)
And I’m go go go
(And you don’t even know it)

GR 6s:
I’ve got the dreams I’ve got the style.
I’ve got the moves to make you smile.
So watch me wave goodbye.

JAMIE:
Cos I’m gonna be the one.

Gr 6s:
I’m on my way, I won’t be turned.
Your silly lessons I’ve unlearned.
And I’ll be free to fly.

JAMIE:
And I’m gonna kiss the sun.

GR 6s/(GR 4-5s):
‘Cause baby I’m a hit
(And you don’t even know it)
I’m a hit
(And you don’t even know it)
Ya I’m lit
(And you don’t even know it)
I’m a blockbuster
(And you don’t even know it)
And I’m rising fast
(And you don’t even know it)
I’m an atom blast
(And you don’t even know it)
And the past is past
(And you don’t even know it)
I’ll be free at last ya!
(And you don’t even know it)

GR 6s:
The wasted years, the endless days.
Your boring nights, your dull cliches.
Get off and hit the track.

JAMIE:
‘Cause I’m gonna be the one.

Gr 6s:
You’re in my lane, you’re in my light.
Get out my way I’m taking flight.
And I ain’t coming back.

JAMIE:
And I’m gonna kiss the sun.

JAMIE:
And if ever you find life is getting you down.
There’s a party to start in a new part of town.
Where there’s a guest list of one and the name’s Jamie New.
And if you ask me real nice I might sign you in too.

GR 6s/(GR 4-5s):
Cos baby I’m a hit
(And you don’t even know it)
So admit
(And you don’t even know it)
Yeah I’m a hit
(And you don’t even know it)
Just a bit
(And you don’t even know it)
And I’m Smoking hot
(And you don’t even know it)
‘Cause I’ve got the lot
(And you don’t even know it)
And what I got
(And you don’t even know it)
Ya you have not

GR 4-5s/(GR 6s):
We don’t even know it
(You don’t even know it)
We don’t even know it
(You don’t even know it)
She don’t even know it
(You don’t even know it)
He don’t even know it
(You don’t even know it)
We don’t even know it
(You don’t even know it)
She don’t even know it
(You don’t even know it)
He don’t even know it
(You don’t even know it)

GR 6s:
And you don’t even know it.

Brand New You
13

ROYALS — In the complicated social world of middle school, it’s easy to decide who’s “in,” who’s “out,” and where everyone belongs. This song celebrates looking beyond first impressions, discovering what’s special in someone else, and realizing that people can surprise you — no matter where they seem to rank in the social kingdom.

CASSIE:
I saw the cover and I judged the book
I turned away without a second look
But now, now, now
I see a brand new you

I told myself I better run and hide
I never noticed what was there inside
But now, now, now
I see a brand new you
And I can’t stop myself from loving every itty bitty thing you do

ALL:
You, you!
I see a brand new you!
You, you!
I see a brand new you!

CHARLOTTE:
I didn’t know where I was meant to be
I figured no one would be there for me

ALL:
But now, now, now

Charlotte:
I see a brand new you

ALL:
You, you!
I see a brand new you!

CHARLOTTE & CASSIE:
I never knew that you could understand!
But I looked up and you reached out your hand
But now, now, now
I see a brand new you

ALL:
I open my eyes

CHARLOTTE:
And there’s a great big world around
I open my eyes
And just look, look, look at what I found
You know!

ALL:
Na-na, na, na-na, na, na-na, na, na-na, nay, na-na, na, na-na, na, na-na, na
Na-na, na, na-na, na, na-na, na, na-na, nay, na-na, na, na-na, na, na-na, na
Na-na, na, na-na, na, na-na, na, na-na, nay, na-na, na, na-na, na, na-na, na
Na-na, na, na-na, na, na-na, na, na-na, nay, na-na, na, na-na, na, na-na, na
Na-na, na, na-na, na, na-na, na, na
Na-na, na, na-na, na, na-na, na, na
Na-na, na
Na-na, na
Na-na, na, na, na, na, na, na, na
Hey-ya!

I open my eyes
And there’s a great, big world around
I open my eyes
And just look, just look
Look at what I found!

Ooh!
I see a brand new you
Ooh!
I see a brand new you!
Ooh!
I see a brand new you!

Carrying the Banner
Newsies

REBELS — The newsies are tough, independent kids working hard to survive on the streets of New York City. This song introduces their fierce sense of community, resilience, and determination to make their own way — the spirit that will soon lead them to stand together and challenge those in power.

NEWSIE 1:
Have I got a story for you… Picture it — July 1899. A group of newsies were living in a Manhattan lodging house, with their appointed leader, Jess.

NEWSIE 2:
Each morning, as the sun rose, the newsies prepared for another day on the job, finding as much joy as they could in a hard life.

NEWSIE 3:
They were kids. They didn’t have much money or power.

JESS:
But we had each other.

NEWSIE 1:
And in the summer of 1899, that was about to matter.

NEWSIE 2:
The newspaper bosses raised the price we newsies had to pay for our papers.

JESS:
Which meant working even harder just to make the same few pennies.

NEWSIE 3:
And we newsies were starting to think we’d had enough!

NEWSIE 1:
From bottle alley to the harbor
There’s easy pickings guaranteed

NEWSIE 2:
Try any banker, bum, or barber
They almost all knows how to read

JESS:
It’s a crooked game we’re playin’
One we’ll never lose
Long as suckers don’t mind payin’
Just to get bad news

ALL:
Ain’t it a fine life!
Carrying the banner through it all
A mighty fine life!
Carrying the banner tough and tall
When the bell rings
We goes where we wishes
We’s as free as fishes
Sure beats washing dishes
What a fine life
Carrying the banner home-free all!

Summer stinks and winters freezing
When you works outdoors
Start out sweatin
End up sneezin’
In between it pours!
You wanna move the next edition
Give us an earthquake or a war!

NEWSIE 3:
How ’bout a crooked politician?

NEWSIES 1, 2 &3:
Yeah, nitwit, that ain’t news no more!

ALL:
Uptown to grand central station, down to city hall
We improves our circulation
Walking ’til we fall

We’ll all be out there
Carrying the banner, yes we can!
We’re always out there
Soakin’ every sucker that we can!
Here’s the headline:
Newsies on a mission!
Kill the competition!
Sell the next edition!
We’ll be out there
Carrying the banner!
See us out there
Carrying the banner!
Always out there
Carrying the banner!
Ah, ah, ah, EXTRA!

NEWSIE 1:
Extra! Extra! Newsies say enough is enough!

NEWSIE 2:
No more paying extra just to sell the news!

NEWSIE 3:
But what can we do about it?
(JESS looks around at the other NEWSIES.)

JESS:
We stop selling.

NEWSIE 1:
You mean… a strike?

JESS:
I mean we stand together.
(The NEWSIES look at one another. One steps beside JESS. Then another.)

NEWSIE 2:
I’m in.

NEWSIE 3:
Me too.

NEWSIE 1:
So are we.

JESS:
We may be kids. We may not have money or power.

NEWSIE 2:
But we have each other.

JESS:
And sometimes that’s where a rebellion begins.
(The NEWSIES raise their papers.)

ALL:
STRIKE!
(Blackout.)

Confident
& Juliet

REBELS — Juliet is learning to trust herself and step boldly into a life she gets to choose for herself. This song celebrates confidence, independence, and refusing to let anyone else decide what you’re capable of — even when finding your own voice means breaking with expectations.

JULIET:
Are you ready?
It’s time for me to take it,
I’m the boss right now
Not gonna fake it,
Gonna show you how
‘Cause this is my game
And you better come to play

I used to hold myself back,
Now I’m lettin’ go
I make my own choice, yeah,
I run this show
So turn the lights on
Now, I’m gonna own the stage
(Ha, ha, ha)

ALL:
Oh-oh-oh
So, you say I’m complicated
That I’m always on your mind
But you’ve had me underrated,
Rated, rated

Oh-oh-oh
What’s wrong with being,
What’s wrong with being
What’s wrong with being confident?
Oh-oh-oh

What’s wrong with being,
What’s wrong with being
What’s wrong with being confident?
Oh-oh-oh

JULIET:
It’s time to let my voice out,
Can you hear me now?
‘Cause this is my time
And I’m feeling strong
And I won’t back down
‘Cause it’s all my time tonight
Oh-oh-oh

So, you say I’m complicated
That I’m always on your mind
But you’ve had me underrated,
Rated, rated, rated
Oh-oh-oh

What’s wrong with being,
What’s wrong with being
What’s wrong with being confident?
Oh-oh-oh

What’s wrong with being
What’s wrong with being
What’s wrong with being confident?
Oh-oh-oh

What’s wrong with being,
What’s wrong with being
What’s wrong with being confident?
Oh-oh-oh

What’s wrong with being,
What’s wrong with being
What’s wrong with being confident?
Oh-oh-oh

So, you say I’m complicated
That I’m always on your mind

What’s wrong with being,
What’s wrong with being
What’s wrong with being confident?
Oh-oh-oh
What’s wrong with being,
What’s wrong with being
What’s wrong with being confident?
Oh-oh-oh

What’s wrong with being,
What’s wrong with being
What’s wrong with being confident?
Oh-oh-oh

What’s wrong with being
What’s wrong with being
What’s wrong with being confident?
Oh-oh-oh

Dancing Queen
Mamma Mia

ROYALS — No crowns or castles required! This disco classic celebrates feeling fabulous, owning the spotlight, and becoming the “queen” of the dance floor — because sometimes royalty is all about confidence, joy, and a little bit of sparkle.

Oooh-oooh
You can dance
You can jive
Having the time of your life

Oh-oh-oh
See that girl
Watch that scene
Diggin’ the dancing queen

Friday night and the lights are low
Looking out for a place to go

Where they play the right music
Getting in the swing
You come to look for a king

Anybody can be that guy
Night is young and the music’s high

With a bit of rock music
Everything is fine
You’re in the mood for a dance

And when you get the chance
You are the dancing queen
Young and sweet
Only seventeen

Dancing queen
Feel the beat from the tambourine
Oh yeah!

You can dance
You can jive
Having the time of your life

Oh-oh-oh
See that girl
Watch that scene
Diggin’ the dancing queen

Diggin’ the dancing queen
See that girl
Watch that scene
Diggin’ the dancing queen

Dancing Through Life
Wicked

REBELS — Elphaba refuses to hide who she is, and Glinda makes the unexpected choice to stand beside her instead of following the crowd. This song explores having the courage to break with expectations, choose your own path, and stand up for someone else — even when it means going against everyone around you.

GALINDA:
Do you know who that is? That’s Fiyero Tiggular,
the Winkie Prince whose reputation is so scandalacious!
[to FIYERO.] Were you looking for something… [striking a pose] or someone?

FIYERO:
Uhhh yea… history… class?

GALINDA:
That class just ended!

FIYERO:
Oh! Perfect!
The trouble with schools is
They always try to teach the wrong lessons

FIYERO, SHENSHEN, PFANEE
Believe me, I’ve been kicked out
Of enough of them to know
They want you to become less callow
Less shallow
But I say: why invite stress in?
Stop studying strife
And learn to live the unexamined … life

ALL:
Dancing through life
Skimming the surface
Gliding where turf is smooth
Life’s more painless
For the brainless
Why think too hard?
When it’s so soothing
Dancing through life
No need to tough it
When you can sluff it off as I do
Nothin’ matters
But knowing nothin’ matters
It’s just life
So keep dancing through…

FIYERO:
So! What’s the most swankified place in town?

GALINDA:
That would be the Ozdust Ballroom!

FIYERO:
Sounds perfect!

[BOQ steps forward and moves in between GALINDA and FIYERO, moving FIYERO back a bit.]

BOQ:
Miss Galinda? I hope you’ll save at least one dance for me. I’ll be right there… waiting… all night.

[NESSAROSE steps forward, off to one side.]

GALINDA:
Oh… that’s so kind…
But, do you know what would be even kinder?
See that tragically beautiful girl?
The one over there?
It seems unfair, we should go on a spree, and not she
Gee, I know someone would be my hero,
If that someone were
To go invite her!

BOQ:
Well, maybe I could invite her?

GALINDA:
Oh, Biq, REALLY? You would do that for me?

BOQ:
I would do anything for you, Miss Galinda.

[BOQ stumbles towards NESSAROSE and offers his arm. They step back into the ensemble, together.]

GALINDA:
[striking a pose for FIYERO] …so…

FIYERO:
So, I’ll be picking you up around eight?

GALINDA:
After all…
Now that we’ve met one another,

BOTH:
It’s clear we deserve each other!

GALINDA:
You’re perfect!

FIYERO:
You’re perfect!

BOTH:
So we’re perfect together!!
Born to be forever
Dancing through life…

[FIYERO and GALINDA turn and join the ensemble. ELPHABA steps forward with NESSAROSE.]

NESSAROSE:
Oh Elphaba – isn’t it wonderful?
Finally, for this one night
I’m about to have a fun night
With this Munchkin boy Galinda found for me
And I only wish there were
Something I could do for her to repay her…
Please Elphaba, try to understand

ELPHABA
I do

[NESSA hugs ELPHABA and steps back.]
GALINDA enters, carrying a black hat, she is followed on by SHENSHEN and PFANEE.]

ELPHABA:
Galinda, listen, Nessa and I were talking about you just now…

GALINDA:
And I was just talking about you!
I thought you might want to wear this hat to the party tonight!

SHENSHEN & PFANEE:
It’s really uh… sharp!
Don’t you think?
Y’know black is this year’s pink!
You deserve each other,
This hat and you,
You’re both so…smart!

SHENSHEN, PFANEE & GALINDA:
You deserve each other, so here!

GALINDA:
[GALINDA hands her the hat]
Out of the goodness of my heart!

[GALINDA curtsies and runs off with SHENSHEN and PFANEE:. ELPHABA smiles and steps back.
GLINDA steps forward, music dims.]

GLINDA:
Boq didn’t have the nerve to tell Nessa that the real reason he invited her to the dance was because I had asked him to. The dance went on and I remember thinking – would Elphaba show up?
[GLINDA steps back.]

[SHIZ STUDENTS gather, BOQ escorts NESSAROSE. FIYERO and GALINDA are together. ELPHABA puts on the hat. The SHIZ STUDENTS gasp and pantomime comments about the way she is dressed.]

FIYERO:
Who in Oz is that?

GALINDA:
My roommate… please, don’t … stare!

[ELPHABA takes off the Hat, noticing the comments. She waits, then puts it back on stubbornly.]

FIYERO:
How can you help it? I’ll say this, she doesn’t give a twig about what anyone thinks.

GALINDA:
Of course she does, she just pretends not to… I feel awful… Excuse me…
[She walks over to ELPHABA and clears her throat.]
Wanna hang out?

ELPHABA:
Let’s dance!

ALL:
Dancing Through Life
Down at the Ozdust
If only because dust
Is what we come to
And the strange thing:
Your life could end up changing
While you’re dancing
Through!

Do You Hear The People Sing?
Les Misérables

REVOLUTIONARIES — In the streets of Paris, a group of young people come together to challenge injustice and fight for a better future. This song celebrates finding courage in one another, raising your voices together, and standing up for change — because a revolution becomes powerful when people are willing to stand together.

Vocal track – original key.

Vocal track – key lifted 5 semi tones.

Do you hear the people sing?
Singing out a hopeful song?
It is the music of a people
Who will stand together strong!

When the beating of your heart
Echoes the beating of a drum
There is a life about to start
When tomorrow comes!

Will you join in our crusade?
Who will be strong and stand with me?
Beyond the barricade
Is there a world you’d love to see?
Then join in the fight
That will give you the right to be free!

Do you hear the people sing?
Singing out a hopeful song?
It is the music of a people
Who will stand together strong!

When the beating of your heart
Echoes the beating of the drums
There is a life about to start
When tomorrow comes!

Will you give all you can give
So that our banner may advance?
Some will fall and some will live
Will you stand up and take your chance?

And the sound of freedom
Will echo through all of France!

Do you hear the people sing?
Singing out a hopeful song?
It is the music of a people
Who will stand together strong!

When the beating of your heart
Echoes the beating of the drums
There is a life about to start
When tomorrow comes

Happily Ever After
Once Upon A Mattress

ROYALS — Princess Winnifred is determined to prove she belongs in the royal court — but she’s definitely not anyone’s idea of a traditional princess. This song playfully explores fairy-tale expectations, royal rules, and the difference between looking like a princess and having the courage to be yourself — because “happily ever after” doesn’t always look the way you expect.

Two STORYTELLERS enter carrying a large book of fairy tales. WINNIFRED follows, peering over their shoulders.

STORYTELLER 1:
Once upon a time—

WINNIFRED:
Let me guess. There was a beautiful princess.

STORYTELLER 2:
Naturally.

WINNIFRED:
And a handsome prince?

STORYTELLER 1:
Of course.

WINNIFRED:
And they fell in love, got married and lived happily ever after?

STORYTELLER 2:
You’ve heard this one?

WINNIFRED:
I’ve heard all of them! Cinderella, Snow White, Rapunzel—every princess gets her happy ending.

STORYTELLER 1:
Not every princess.

WINNIFRED:
Name one.

STORYTELLER 2:
Well…there was Princess Brunhild.

WINNIFRED:
Brunhild? Finally—a princess with a sensible name! What happened to her?

The STORYTELLERS hand WINNIFRED the book. She clears her throat importantly and begins to read.

WINNIFRED (spoken):
And so it was. Soon after his encounter with the dragon Fafner, Prince Waldere fell into the enchanted mud and before long, his head grew back. Whereupon he married the Princess Brunhild and they lived happily ever after. Well, I’m glad.

WINNIFRED (sung):
They all lived happily, happily, happily ever after
The couple is happily leaving the chapel eternally tied
As the curtain descends
There is nothing but loving and laughter
When the fairy tale ends, the heroine’s always a bride

ALL (except Winnifred):
Ella, the girl of the Cinders
Did the wash and the walls and the winders
But she landed a prince
That was brawny and blue-eyed and blond
Still I honestly doubt that
She could ever have done it without that
Crazy lady
With the wand—

WINNIFRED (spoken):
Cinderella had outside help!

WINNIFRED (sung):
I have no one but me
Fairy godmother, godmother, godmother!
Where can you be?

WINNIFRED (spoken):
I haven’t got a fairy godmother. I haven’t got a godmother. I have a mother—a plain ordinary woman

ALL (except Winnifred):
Snow White was so pretty, they tell us
That the Queen was insulted and jealous
When the mirror declared that Snow White
Was the fairest of all
She was dumped on the border
But was saved by some men who adored her
Oh, I grant you—they were small

WINNIFRED (spoken):
But there were seven of them. It was practically a regiment!

WINNIFRED (sung):
I’m alone in the night
By myself
Not a dwarf, not an elf
Not a goblin in sight!

WINNIFRED (spoken):
That girl had seven determined little men working day and night just for her. Oh, sure, the Queen gave her a poisoned apple, but still—

WINNIFRED:
She lived happily, happily, happily ever after
A magical kiss counteracted the apple eventually
Though I know I’m not clever
I’ll do what they tell me I hafta!
I want some happily ever after to happen to me

ALL (except Winnifred):
Rapunzel—had platinum tresses
That were double the length of her dresses
She was kept in a tower for years
By a wicked, old witch

‘Til one night in despair, down
She scrambled by letting her hair down
That’s what I call—quite a switch!

WINNIFRED (spoken):
I wonder, I could—Ugh, it’ll never hold

WINNIFRED (sung):
I’ll be finished before I begin
And besides I don’t want to get out—
I want to get in!

I want to live happily, happily, happily ever after
I want to walk happily out of a chapel eternally tied!
But I know that I’ll never live happily ever after
‘Til after
I’m a bride!

ALL (including Winnifred):
Then I’ll be happily happy!
Yes, happily happy!

And thoroughly satisfied!
Satisfied!
Satis—fied!

WINNIFRED finishes triumphantly. The STORYTELLERS stare at her.

STORYTELLER 1:
So…you want a fairy godmother?

WINNIFRED:
No.

STORYTELLER 2:
Seven little men?

WINNIFRED:
Absolutely not.

STORYTELLER 1:
Hair long enough to climb?

WINNIFRED:
Have you seen my hair?

A PRINCE enters, holding a flower.

PRINCE:
Excuse me. Are you the princess looking for a happily ever after?

WINNIFRED:
Maybe. Are you a prince?

PRINCE:
Yes.

WINNIFRED:
Any dragons, wicked queens or poisoned apples?

PRINCE:
Not that I know of.

WINNIFRED:
Wonderful. You may apply.

She takes the flower and sweeps off. The PRINCE looks at the STORYTELLERS.

PRINCE:
Is that a good sign?

STORYTELLER 2:
In this kingdom? It’s practically a proposal!

They hurry after WINNIFRED.

I’d Rather Be Me
Mean Girls

REBELS — Janis decides she’s done changing herself to fit in or make other people happy. This song celebrates standing up for yourself, speaking your mind, and having the courage to be exactly who you are — even when it means standing apart from the crowd.

JANIS:
So your best friend sold you out
Acted nice when she’s not nice
Well, I have some advice
‘Cause it’s happened to me. Twice
Here’s my secret strategy,
It always works because
The world doesn’t end
It just feels like it does

ALL:
So raise your right finger
And solemnly swear
“Whatever they say about me
I don’t care!”

JANIS:
I won’t twist in knots to join your game
I will say, “you make me mad.”
And if you treat me bad
I’ll say “you’re bad”

ALL:
And if I eat alone from this moment on
That’s just what I’ll do
‘Cause I’d rather be me, I’d rather be me
I’d rather be me than be with you
We’re supposed to all be ladies
And be nurturing and care
Is that really fair?
Boys get to fight, we have to share
Here’s the way that turns out
We always understand
How to slap someone down
With our underhands
So here’s my right finger
To how girls should behave
‘Cause sometimes what’s meant to break you
Makes you brave

JANIS:
So I will not act all innocent
I won’t fake apologize
Let’s just fight and then make up, not tell these lies
Let’s call our damage even
Clean the slate till it’s like new

ALL:
It’s a new life for me
Where I’d rather be me
I’d rather be me than be with you

JANIS:
I’ll say, “NO!”

ALL:
NO!

JANIS:
I’ll say, “knock it off, with your notes and your rules and your games.”
And those sycophants who follow you
I’ll remember all their names
And when they drag you down
Like they inevitably do
I will not laugh along with them
And approve their palace coup, ‘cause that’s not me
I don’t need their good opinions
I have plenty of opinions
Everybody has opinions but it doesn’t make them true
What’s true is being me

ALL:
And I’d rather be me
I’d rather be me than be with you.

JANIS:
So raise them high ‘cause playing nice and shy is insulting my IQ

ALL:
I’d Rather Be Me
I’d Rather Be Me
I’d Rather Be Me than be with you!
I’d Rather Be Me
I’d Rather Be Me
I’d Rather Be Me than be with you!

Learn to Do It
Anastasia

ROYALS — Anya is taught how to walk, talk, dance, and behave like a princess as she prepares to enter the world of Russian royalty. This song explores what it means to be “royal” — and whether royalty comes from rules and appearances, or from who you truly are.

ANYA
How do you become the person you’ve forgotten you ever were?

VLAD/DMITRY
Take a deep breath…
Close your eyes
And imagine, another time
Another world
You were born in a palace by the sea

ANYA
A palace by the sea?
Could it be?

VLAD/DMITRY
Yes, it’s so
You rode horseback when you were only three

ANYA
Horseback riding? Me?
Horse’s name?

VLAD/DMITRY
Romeo!
You threw tantrums and terrorized the cook
Ha!
How the palace shook

ANYA
Charming child-

VLAD/DMITRY
Wrote the book
But you’d behave when your father gave that look

ANYA
Imagine how it was,
My long forgotten past

DMITRY/VLAD
We’ve lots and lots to teach you and the time is going fast

VLAD/DMITRY
Let’s see you walk
Head up
Regal bearing
Now shoulders back and stand up tall,
And do not walk, but try to float!

ANYA
I feel a little foolish
Am I floating?

VLAD/DMITRY
Like a sinking boat!
You give a bow-

ANYA
What happens now?

VLAD/DMITRY
Your hand receives a kiss!
Most of all remember this
If I can learn to do it,
You can learn to do it

ANYA
Something in me knows it

DMITRY/VLAD
There’s nothing to it
Follow in my footsteps
Shoe by shoe

ANYA
I can learn to do it too

DMITRY/VLAD
Now elbows in and sit up straight
And do not slurp the stroganoff

ANYA
I never cared for stroganoff

VLAD/DMITRY
She said that like a Romanov
The Samovar!
The caviar!

ANYA
Dessert and then goodnight?

VLAD/DMITRY
Not until you get this right.
If I can learn to do it-

ANYA
If he can learn to do it-

VLAD/DMIRTY
You can learn to do it-

ANYA
I can learn to do it-

VLAD/DMITRY
Pull yourself together

ANYA
And I’ll pull through it

VLAD/DMITRY
Tell yourself it’s easy
And it’s true!

ANYA
I can learn to do it too!

VLAD/DMITRY
Who is your great grandmother?

ANYA
Queen Victoria.

VLAD/DMITRY
Great-great grandmother?

ANYA
Princess Victoria of Saxe-Coburg-Saalfeld.

VLAD/DMITRY
Your best friend is?

ANYA
My little brother Alexei.

VLAD/DMITRY
Wrong. Your best friend is –

ANYA
I know who my best friend is.

VLAD/DMITRY
What a temper.

ANYA
I don’t like being contradicted.

VLAD/DMITRY
That makes two of us…
Continuing on.

ANYA
I’ve had it
And I hate you both
I’m sorry that we ever met
I’m hungry
And I’m frightened
And I’m only human
Don’t forget
I don’t remember anything
Get out and let me be

VLAD/DMITRY
Anya, darling
Look at me
We’re all frightened
Well, slightly, now and then
Shall we start again?
Take a breath
Count to ten
You have courage
And strength you barely know
So blow that little nose
And dry those pretty eyes
A princess like Your Majesty can do this if she tries
Ready? Set-

ANYA
Go!

VLAD/DMITRY
Now here’s your great-aunt Olga
How she frolicked
On the Volga

ANYA
Oh!

VLAD/DMITRY
Your distant cousin Vanya
Loved to polka
Got it, Anya?

ANYA
No.

VLAD/DMITRY
The Duke of Oldenburg was short

ANYA
Louise of Baden
Had a
Wart

VLAD/DMITRY
Count Sergei
Wore a feathered hat

ANYA
I hear he’s gotten very fat,
And I recall his yellow cat

VLAD/DMITRY
I don’t believe we told her that?
If you can learn to do it

ANYA
If I can learn to do it

DMITRY/VLAD
He can learn to do it

ANYA
I can learn to do it

DMITRY/VLAD
Pull yourself together

ALL
And we’ll pull through it

VLAD/DMITRY
Tell yourself it’s easy

ALL
And it’s true
You can learn to do it

ANYA
Nothing to it

ALL
You can learn to do it

ALL
The caviar
The stroganoff
The Samovar
The feathered hat
The cousin danced
The Duke was short
And here a wart
And there a cat
The horse’s name was Romeo
So tell me something new

VLAD/DMITRY
Ha!

ANYA
Ah!

ALL
You can learn to do it too

My Shot
Hamilton

REVOLUTIONARIES — Alexander Hamilton is young, ambitious, and determined to play a part in the revolution unfolding around him. This song celebrates finding your voice, fighting for what you believe in, and having the courage to help shape the future — instead of standing on the sidelines while history happens.

ALL:
I am not throwin’ away my shot
I am not throwin’ away my shot
Hey yo, I’m just like my country
I’m young, scrappy and hungry
And I’m not throwin’ away my shot

REVOLUTIONARY 1:
I’ma get a scholarship to King’s College
I probably shouldn’t brag, but dang, I amaze and astonish
The problem is I got a lot of brains but no polish
I gotta holler just to be heard
With every word, I drop knowledge

REVOLUTIONARY 2:
I’m a diamond in the rough, a shiny piece of coal
Tryna reach my goal my power of speech, unimpeachable
Only nineteen but my mind is older
These New York City streets get colder, I shoulder

REVOLUTIONARY 3:
Every burden, every disadvantage
I have learned to manage, I’ve only got words to brandish
I walk these streets famished
The plan is to fan this spark into a flame
But now, it’s getting dark, so let me spell out my name

ALL:
I am the A-L-E-X-A-N-D-E-R we are meant to be
A colony that runs independently
Meanwhile, Britain keeps pushin’ on us endlessly

REVOLUTIONARY 4:
Essentially, they tax us relentlessly
Then King George turns around, runs a spendin’ spree
He ain’t ever gonna set his descendants free
So there will be a revolution in this century

REVOLUTIONARY 5:
Enter me (he says in parentheses)
Don’t be shocked when your history book mentions me
I will give all I’ve got if it sets us free
Eventually, you’ll see my ascendancy

ALL:
And I am not throwin’ away my shot (my shot)
I am not throwin’ away my shot (my shot)
Hey yo, I’m just like my country
I’m young, scrappy and hungry
And I’m not throwin’ away my shot

I am not throwin’ away my shot
I am not throwin’ away my shot
Hey yo, I’m just like my country
I’m young, scrappy and hungry
And I’m not throwin’ away my shot

It’s time to take a shot

REVOLUTIONARY 6:
Oh, am I talkin’ too loud?
Sometimes I get over excited, shoot off at the mouth
I never had a group of friends before
I promise that I’ll make y’all proud

Let’s get this guy in front of a crowd!

I am not throwin’ away my shot
I am not throwin’ away my shot
Hey yo, I’m just like my country
I’m young, scrappy and hungry
And I’m not throwin’ away my shot

I am not throwin’ away my shot
I am not throwin’ away my shot
Hey yo, I’m just like my country
I’m young, scrappy and hungry
And I’m not throwin’ away my shot

Everybody sing
Whoa, whoa, whoa
Ayy, whoa (woo), whoa
Should let ’em hear ya (yeah)

Let’s go
Whoa, whoa, whoa
I said shout it to the rooftops
Whoa, whoa, whoa
Said, to the rooftops
Whoa, whoa, whoa
A-come on (yeah)
Come on, let’s go

Rise up
When you’re living on your knees, you rise up
Tell your brother that he’s gotta rise up
Tell your sister that she’s gotta rise up

When are these colonies gonna rise up? (Whoa, whoa)
When are these colonies gonna rise up? (Whoa)
When are these colonies gonna rise up? (Whoa)
When are these colonies gonna rise up?
Rise up

REVOLUTIONARY 1:
I imagine what’s ahead; it feels more like a memory
When’s it gonna get me?
In my dreams, seven steps ahead of me?
If I see it comin’, do I run or do I let it be?
Is it like a beat without a melody?

REVOLUTIONARY 2:
See, I never thought I’d have so many
Dreams to chase, but now I’ve got plenty
Ask anybody why we livin’ fast and we laugh, make it a blast
We have to make this moment last, that’s plenty

REVOLUTIONARY 3:
Scratch that this is not a moment, it’s the movement
Where all the hungriest brothers with something to prove went?
Foes oppose us, we take an honest stand
We move together, building something grand

REVOLUTIONARY 4:
And? If we win our independence?
Is that a guarantee of freedom for our descendants?
Or will the words we say begin an endless cycle of anger and fear with no defendants?

REVOLUTIONARY 5:
I know the action in the street is excitin’
But goodness, between all the plannin’ ‘n’ strivin’
I’ve been readin’ ‘n’ writin’

REVOLUTIONARY 6:
We need to handle our financial situation
Are we a nation of states? What’s the state of our nation?

REVOLUTIONARY 7:
I’m past patiently waitin’ I’m passionately mashin’ every expectation
Every action’s an act of creation
I’m laughin’ in the face of obstacles and sorrow
For the first time, I’m thinkin’ past tomorrow

And I am not throwin’ away my shot
I am not throwin’ away my shot
Hey yo, I’m just like my country
I’m young, scrappy and hungry
And I’m not throwin’ away my shot

We’re gonna rise up
I am not throwin’ away my shot (time to take a shot)

We’re gonna rise up
I am not throwin’ away my shot (time to take a shot)

We’re gonna, rise up, rise up
It’s time to take a shot
Rise up, rise up
It’s time to take a shot
Rise up, it’s time to take a shot
Rise up, take a shot, shot, shot
Ay, yo, it’s time to take a shot, time to take a shot
And I am not throwin’ away my
Not throwin’ away my shot

Pulled
Addams Family Musical

REBELS — Wednesday is surprised to find herself changing as she falls in love — something completely at odds with the gloomy Addams world she knows. This song celebrates breaking from expectations, embracing change, and discovering your own direction — even when it takes you somewhere unexpected.

WEDNESDAY is sitting quietly. PUGSLEY watches her suspiciously. MORTICIA enters.

PUGSLEY:
Mother. Something is terribly wrong with Wednesday.
MORTICIA:
 Is she ill?

PUGSLEY:
 Worse.

WEDNESDAY sighs contentedly.

PUGSLEY:
 She keeps doing that.

MORTICIA:
 Wednesday, darling? You seem… cheerful.

WEDNESDAY:
 Don’t be ridiculous.

PUGSLEY:
 Yesterday you smiled.

WEDNESDAY:
 It was a grimace.

PUGSLEY:
You stopped to smell a flower.

WEDNESDAY:
I was checking to see if it was poisonous.

MORTICIA:
And this morning I heard you humming.

WEDNESDAY:
 I was mourning.

PUGSLEY:
It was in a major key.
Beat.

WEDNESDAY:
Fine. Lately, I’ve been noticing things.

MORTICIA:
 What sort of things?

WEDNESDAY:
 Happy things.

MORTICIA gasps. PUGSLEY recoils.

WEDNESDAY:
 I know. It’s horrifying
I don’t have a sunny disposition.
I’m not known for being too amused.
My demeanor’s locked in one position.
See my face? I’m enthused.
Suddenly, however, I’ve been puzzled.
Bunny rabbits make me want to cry.
All my inhibitions have been muzzled,
And I think I know why.

ALL:
I’m being pulled in a new direction,
But I think I like it.
I think I like it.
I’m being pulled in a new direction.
Through my painful pursuit,
Somehow, birdies took root.
All the things I detested, impossibly cute.
Oh! What do I do?

WEDNESDAY:
Mother always said don’t cause a scandal,
But she doesn’t know what I enjoy.
I can feel my old ideas unravel,
As I try something new…

ALL:
Has got me pulled in a new direction,
But I think I like it.

PUGSLEY:
(That was good! That was good!)

WEDNESDAY:
I think I like it.

PUGSLEY
(Do it again! Do it again!)

ALL:
I’m being pulled in a new direction,
But this feeling, I know is impossible, so
I’ll confide that I’ve tried but I can’t let it go.
It’s disgustingly true!
Pulled, pulled, pulled!

WEDNESDAY:
Puppy dogs with droopy faces,
Unicorns with dancing mice,
Sunrise in wide open spaces,
DisneyWorld – I’ll go there twice!
Butterflies and picnic lunches,
Bunches of chrysanthemums,
Lollipops and pillow fights and Christmas eve,
Sugar plums!

ALL:
String quartets and Chia Pets,
And afternoon banana splits,
Angels watching as I sleep,
And Liberace’s Greatest Hits!

Have got me pulled in a new direction!
If they keep insisting, I’ll stop resisting.
Just watch me pulled in a new direction.
I should stay in the dark,
Not obey every spark,
But this change has a bite,
And it somehow feels right!
And you bet I’ll change  too,
Do what’s truly taboo,
As I’m pulled in a new direction!

PUGSLEY:
You want to go to Disney World?
Beat.

WEDNESDAY:
 Apparently.

MORTICIA:
 Oh, Wednesday.

WEDNESDAY:
Don’t worry, Mother. I’m sure they have a Haunted Mansion.
She exits.

PUGSLEY:
 She’s going to be okay.

MORTICIA:
 I hope so.

BLACKOUT.

Revolting Children
Matilda

REVOLUTIONARIES — After years of being frightened and controlled by the terrifying Miss Trunchbull, the students of Crunchem Hall finally realize that she can’t defeat them if they stand together. This song celebrates finding strength in numbers, challenging unfair authority, and joining together to demand change — because sometimes a revolution starts when everyone decides to say “enough!”

The CHILDREN are lined up at school. TRUNCHBULL prowls in front of them.

TRUNCHBULL:
In this world, children, there are two kinds of people: winners and losers. I am a winner. You are revolting little children.

AMANDA:
 Revolting? R-E-V-O-L-T-I-N-G. Revolting.

TRUNCHBULL:
Very clever. Then perhaps you can spell… amchella-kamaneal-septicanis-timosis!

LAVENDER:
 That’s not even a word!

TRUNCHBULL:
 Wrong! Punishment!
She grabs LAVENDER.

BRUCE:
Cat! C-A-F. Cat. I got it wrong too. You’ll have to punish me.

NIGEL:
 Dog! D-Y-P. Me too!

AMANDA:
 Table! X-A-B-L-Y. And me!
The CHILDREN begin stepping forward.

BRUCE:
You can’t punish all of us.

CHILDREN:
 Yeah!

TRUNCHBULL:
 Oh, can’t I?

MATILDA:
No. Because if we all stand together… you can’t win.
The CHILDREN turn toward TRUNCHBULL.

ALL:
 RUN!

TRUNCHBULL bolts. The CHILDREN explode in celebration.

MATILDA:
Whooo-a!
Never again will she get the best of me.
Never again will she take away my freedom.
And we won’t forget the day we

ALL:
fought –
For the right to be a little bit naughty!
Never again will we live behind bars.
Never again now that we know we are
Revolting children,
Living in revolting times.
We sing revolting songs,
Using revolting rhymes.
We’ll be revolting children
Till our revolting’s done,
And we’ll have the Trunchbull bolting –
We’re revolting.
Aarrrh!
We’re revolting!
We can S – P – L how we like.
If enough of us are wrong,
Wrong is right.
Every one N – O – R – T – why?
‘Cause we’re a little bit naughty!
So we gotta stay inside the line.
If we disobey at the same time,
There is nothing that the Trunchbull can do.
We are revolting children,
Living in revolting times.
We sing revolting songs,
Using revolting rhymes.
We’ll be revolting children
Till our revolting’s done.
It is 2L84U.
We are revolting!
It is 2L84U.
We are revolting!

Big finish. Trunchbull cautiously pokes her head back onstage.

TRUNCHBULL:
 Is it over?

The CHILDREN turn and stare at her.

ALL:
 NO!

TRUNCHBULL:
 Right.

She runs.
BLACKOUT.

Shine Like the Sun
9 to 5

REVOLUTIONARIES — This reimagined version of Dolly Parton’s uplifting anthem celebrates people coming together to create positive change. The song explores knowing your own worth, leading with compassion, and lifting one another up — reminding us that even small acts of courage and kindness can help build a brighter future.

Dolly Parton could easily belong in all three parts of our show. She is a Rebel because she built her career by being unapologetically herself and refusing to let others define her. She is country music Royalty, recognized around the world for her extraordinary songs, talent and unmistakable style. And she is a Revolutionary who has used her success to open doors for others—especially through her advocacy for literacy and her commitment to helping children dream bigger.

VIOLET:
They say we always grow from what we learn
Whether good or bad or in between

DORALEE:
That’s what I’ve always heard!

Judy: Good things happen when we help
And the kindness we can share
Stretched out, I know that it would reach
From here to everywhere

VIOLET, JUDY, DORALEE:
We think it’s time we show what we can do
We’ll lead with true compassion
And we’ll make our dreams come true

ALL:
And we’ll all lift each other up
In caring, helpful ways
We all can turn things around
Make brighter, kinder days…

I’m gonna shine like the sun
When these clouds roll
Away from my door
When the new day’s begun
I’ll be ready for what lies in store
I will know my own worth
Heal what’s hurting and
Let new hope come
When the hard work is done
I’m gonna shine
Like the sun

I’ve had enough doubt in my life
And I won’t feed in to it
Now I step in the light
Know I have strength to get through it
I’ve found the courage in me
And I know just who I am
I’m ready now to be free
And proudly show you who I am
I’m gonna shine like the sun
When these clouds roll
Away from my door
I stand tall, I can run
I’ll be ready for what lies in store

We’ll be singing out loud
Standing proud
Of how far we’ve come

And when the hard work is done
We’re gonna shine

Shine, shine
Shine like the

Shine, shine
Shine like the sun!

When the rain clouds are gone
When the worries are gone
When the hard work is done
There’ll be nothing but sun

When it’s all said and done
We’re gonna shine

Shine
Shine
Shine like the
Shine
Shine
Shine
Like the sun!

Show’em You’re The Queen
The Queen Of Versailles

ROYALS — Jackie has a mountain of extravagant possessions to sell — and she knows exactly how to make everyone want them. This song playfully explores wealth, status, and the idea that having the biggest, flashiest things can make anyone feel like royalty — because if you want to be treated like a Queen, sometimes you just have to look the part.

JACKIE:
We’ve got a lot of fabulous stuff!
So even though we’re selling stuff at a bargain price
If we’re really aiming to move some merchandise
It’s gotta have to have that certain sheen
If they think you’re rich, they’ll love it
So if you want folks to covet what you’ve got
You’ve got to show ’em you’re the Queen!

TRIO:
The Russian Tsar had all these little faberge eggs
He would show off as a priceless prize
Well now, you can have your own faberge-style eggs
And ours come in supersize

TRIO:
And these tiny golden watch keys, these other golden tchotchkes
This lovely Shepherd figurine
The best little treasures you’ve ever seen
Because that’s how you show ’em you’re the queen

JACKIE:
But wait, there’s more:

TRIO:
This here’s the giant Genie lamp from the Aladdin Hotel
Well, now it can be yours to keep
And your man who’ll want a throne, this was some old king’s
For some reason, we got it cheap

TRIO:
And think how they’ll be staring when people see you wearing
This scarf I dyed tangerine
I’m even throwing in these sparkly platform sneakers
That’s how you show ’em you’re the Queen

JACKIE:
But that’s not all, we’ve got:

These comfy satin sheets and these embroidered pillowcases
And from some castle somewhere, we have fancy fireplaces
For light, a crystal chandelier, a golden candelabra
And for your wall, a ram’s head, though it is a bit macabre
(It is a bit macabre!)

Your kids’ll love this wooden zebra — isn’t it a charmer? (And?)
Your husband will be thrilled with his medieval suit of armor (And?)
And here’s some proper pants for when you’re cooking up some gnocchi (And?)
Your party’s this machine because we all love karaoke (We love karaoke)

And finally, for the family that’s really wanting more
We’re even selling this complete Godiva chocolate store
There’s so much you can’t live without, that there is no doubt of
Like a giant birthday cake that someone can jump out of!

ALL:
Who wouldn’t want to own their own cake they can jump out of?
So…
Come to our fabulous thrift store
Where you can never buy enough
(Nev-er en-ough!)

‘Cause really, what is money for?
For getting lots and lots of stuff
(Just look at all this stuff!)

Now you get to redo your life and live like we do
Your neighbors will be turning green

JACKIE:
‘Cause we live in a nation that admires ostentation (Ooh…)

They’ll admire your taste and your fabulous possessions (Ooh…)
There’s nothing that says royalty like glorious excess (Just obscene)

ALL:
So shoppers, that’s how you show ’em (Show ’em)
Away you’ll blow ’em (Blow ’em)

Now you can show them you’re
The Queen!

Show Them Who You Are
Suffs

REVOLUTIONARIES — Inspired by the real women who fought for women’s right to vote, this song celebrates finding your courage, making your voice heard, and standing up for change — even when the world isn’t ready to listen.

ALICE:
I know it’s hard, I understand
Of course you’re losing heart
We climb uphill for years, and still
It feels like we’re right back at the start
But that’s exactly how those crooked kings want us to feel
Too bad for them they’re up against a queen with a spine of steel

ALL:
You are the bravest person we’ve ever met
I’ve never seen anything daunt you yet
So are you gonna let them win?
Or will you
Show them who you are
Show them our brazen, unwavering dynamo
Show them who you are
Show them you’ll rip ’em to shreds if thеy tell you, “No”

ALICE:
You think your nerve is about to givе out
But the girl I see glows brighter than any star

ALL:
So go show them who you are
Show them
Show them who you are
Show them
Show them who you are

INEZ:
No, no, no
I’m not going to let you Alice Paul me this time
My mind’s made up, I’m not going

ALICE:
Okay, that’s fine, go take a rest

INEZ:
Really?

ALICE:
Yes

ALICE:
Enjoy a pleasant break
Sit on your butt
And then do
What, exactly?
Read a novel?
Learn to bake?

ALL:
But when you tell your kids
What mama did when things grew dim
Don’t you wanna say you
Faced the villain down and demolished him?

ALICE:
Or maybe you would rather give up your strike?
Let everyone think you just stood aside?
I guess if that’s what you’d prefer

INEZ:
Let’s show them who we are
Show them the stubbornest witches they’ll ever see (Ha)

ALL:
Show them who we are

INEZ:
Show them they oughta be frightened of you and me

ALICE:
It’ll be

ALL:
They think our nerve is about to give out

INEZ:
But relinquishment’s not in our repertoire

ALICE:
So go show them who we are

INEZ:
Why are you the only person I can never turn down?

ALICE:
You’ll thank me when were toasting your triumph on election night!

ALL:
They think our nerve is about to give out
But instead of backing down

INEZ:
We’ll raise the bar

ALICE:
We’ll raise the bar

ALL:
We’ll raise the bar
When we show them who we are
Show them
Show them who we are
Show them who we are

Six
Six

ROYALS — Henry VIII’s six wives are done being remembered only for the King they married and are ready to reclaim the spotlight for themselves. This song celebrates owning your story, recognizing your worth, and stepping out of someone else’s shadow — as six Queens discover they’re much more powerful together.

CATHERINE OF ARAGON:
He got down on one knee
But I said “No way!”
Packed my bags
And moved into a
Nu-nu-nunnery!
Joined the gospel choir
Our riffs were on fire
At the top of the charts
Is where I’m gonna stay

ANNE BOLEYN:
Henry sent me a poem
All about my green sleeves
I changed a couple of words
Put it on a sick beat
The song blew their minds
Next minute, I was signed
And now I’m writing lyrics
For Shakesy P

JANE SEYMOUR:
Since my first son
Our family’s grown
We made a band
And got quite well known
You could perhaps call us
The Tudor Von Trapps
I’m just kidding
We’re called the
Royalling Stones

ALL:
We’re one of a kind
No category
Too many years
Lost in history
We’re free to take
Our crowning glory
For five more minutes
We’re SIX!

ANNE OF CLEVES:
What a shame
Yeah, my face
It cost me the crown
So I moved to the
Haus Of Holbein!
In my hometown
His mates were super arty
But I showed them how to party
Now on my tour of Prussia
Everybody “Gets down”

KATHERINE HOWARD:
Music man tried it on
And I was like “Bye!”
So I thought, “Who needs him?
I can give it a try”
I learned everything
Now all I do is sing
And I’ll do that until I die

CATHERINE PARR:
Heard all about these rockin’ chicks
Loved every song
And each remix
So I went out and found them
And we laid down an album
Now “I don’t need your love”
All I need is SIX!

ALL:
We’re one of a kind
No category
Too many years
Lost in his story
We’re free to take
Our crowning glory
For five more minutes
We’re SIX!
Woah, woah
We’re SIX!
Woooah, we’re SIX
Woah, woah
For five more minutes

It’s the end of the show
Of the historemix
We switched up the flow
And we changed the prefix
Everybody knows
That we used to be six wives
But we want to say
Before we drop the curtain
Nothing is for sure
Nothing is for certain
All that we know is that
We used to be six wives

But now we’re one of a kind
No category
Too many years
Lost in history
We’re free to take
Our crowning glory
For five more minutes…
We’re one of a kind
No category
Too many years
Lost in history
We’re free to take
Our crowning glory
For five more minutes
We’re SIX!
Woah, woah
We’re SIX!
Woooah, we’re SIX
Woah, woah
For five, four, three
Two, one more minute

We’re SIX!
