Crafting Program Resources

In an Explore It! Crafts program, the process and product hold equal importance. Children should be actively learning about the skill or technique that is being taught as well as engaging in the peer-to-peer support that is inherent in a crafting community. Instructors should take the time to explain that any craft program demands patience and positivity while we learn. Finished projects must meet our standards of quality before they may be sent home. We suggest that – where possible – you keep all projects for one week after they have been completed, allowing you the time to make small “touch-ups” before anything goes home. If you have any concerns or questions about what quality means in this program, please discuss with a Senior Instructor on site or email Liz to confirm.

NOTE : In a craft program, we encourage you to prepare a “sample” project for the group to see ahead of time – this will allow you to problem solve on your own ahead of working with your group and will give you a practical example of the quality of finished project you are expecting.

If you have any concerns or questions about what quality means in this program, please discuss with your Senior Instructor or email Liz or Randy to confirm. Happy crafting!
